Most of the time, Snapper Rocks is one of those places that looks warm and inviting. The water is crystal clear. The wave is perfect. The crowds, of course, aren’t so perfect. But when Snapper looks like it does above, the crowds clear out.
Except for a handful of legends like Joel Parkinson, Dean Morrison, Luke Egan, Sheldon Simkus, Brent Dorrington, Timmy Wright, Harry Bryant and Nick Vasicek, to name a few. So when a low pressure system slammed into Australia’s east coast and Snapper turned into a different animal, some seriously good surfing went down.
