One person is dead and another is missing in Half Moon Bay after a boat was found spinning around in circles late on Sunday afternoon.
As of Monday morning, neither victim has been named. According to reports, one was pulled from the water at about 5:30 pm and rescue crews are still searching for the second.
The boat, which is registered to a resident of Vallejo, was first spotted off Martin’s Beach at 2 pm, then reported to authorities by the Pillar Point harbormaster shortly after 3 pm. Crews approached the spinning vessel but weren’t able to get it under control until 5:36 pm.
