After a life-threatening wipeout at Pipe, Evan Geiselman expresses sincere gratitude for everyone involved in saving his life… particularly, Andre Botha.
From Evan Geiselman via Instagram: evangeiselman@andre_botha_662 was my guardian angel today! The support has been overwhelming! I can’t thank everyone enough who saved my life today forever grateful. Love you all and everyone who’s been worried about be I’ll be back soon. Love these people more than words can describe who haven’t left my side for a second@maddiedecamillis@eric_geiselman@breekleintop and @ginageiselmancan’t wait to give you a kiss
From Andre Botha via Instagram: andre_botha_662 The most important thing about all of this is that@evangeiselman is going to be 100’s. Thanks to everyone for all the support and encouragement, it’s a bit overwhelming to be called a hero. I was in the right place, at the right time and I did what I had to do. Life can do this to us and put us in these situations. I’m sure any other professional wave rider would have done the same thing, it is a code of honor between those who risk their lives in the ocean. I’m sorry that I haven’t replied to all the messages and emails, I ended up surfing for the rest of the day, I really didn’t know what to do with myself and riding waves was the best way I could clear my head. I’m grateful to have been able to assist a fellow waterman. Thanks again for all the support. Lots of love to @evangeiselman and his family!
